One of the biggest highlights from this year’s Dream Maker Auction is the Cloud Carpet entrance, and what better way to be welcomed than an interview with a shark - or a frog? 🦈 We’re not quite sure which, but Amber is! Dream Kid Amber welcomed guests to the biggest event of the year dressed as her favourite animal. She was accompanied by the always sharply dressed Mark Morris, who helped her interview guests as they walked the Cloud Carpet. Watch until the end for some ‘ribbiting’ 🐸 responses! Still looking for a way to support the Dream Maker Auction? We’ve got you! Help us celebrate meeting 1,000 Dream Kids with the 1,000 Dreamers Candle - made in collaboration with the amazing folks at Coal and Canary! Visit the link in our bio to get your candle today! 🕯️ #DMA2024 #ChildrensCharity #Manitoba

Meet Evie! 🤩 Dream Kid Evie loves doing anything her big brother does. You can often find her gently putting baby dolls to bed or making Play-Doh sculptures. But just a month before her 3rd birthday, Evie was diagnosed with B cell acute lymphoblastic Leukemia. She began her treatment earlier this years and stayed between the hospital and Ronald McDonald House. For the next 2 years, Evie will undergo treatment cycles and maintenance along a “standard favourable risk” categorry for b-ALL. ”Evie is made of magic,” says Evie’s mom. ✨ Even through all of her treatment, she stays strong and brings joy to everyone around her. “She’s the perfect blend of spicy and magic, and she’s made this journey easy on all of us as she handles each new day with bravery, positivity, and smiles.” 💙 Evie is still undergoing treatment so she’s not quite sure what her dream will be yet - but meeting Minnie Mouse in Disney World is definitely a top contender! Evie’s dream is being supported by the wonderful Dream Ride community 🚲 This summer, get on your bikes and ride to help bring this sweet girl’s dream to life! Visit dreamridemb.ca to learn more about Dream Ride 2024!

It was an amazing weekend for community events! On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, folks in the community came together at Evoluir Hair Salon and NK Hair Company for the Cut-A-Thon! The event raised more than $9,400 - a smash hit! 🤩 At Evoluir we met up with Dream Kid Olivia, who got her first post-chemo haircut!💇♀️ It was a magical moment for Olivia and her family. Olivia’s dream is to go to mermaid school in Hawaii, so of course Princess Ariel stopped by to say hello and take some pictures! In addition to haircuts, Dream Kids met their Blue Bomber hero, Brady Oliveira!🏈 It meant so much to have Brady in our Dream Kids’ corner, cheering them on! This was a day of haircuts and heroes! We can’t wait for the next Cut-a-Thon! #manitoba #childrenscharity

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Michelle Harrison, The Dream Factory’s co-founder. Michelle founded The Rainbow Society with Linda Cameron-Turchet in 1983, creating an incredible legacy that has since supported more than 1000 families across Manitoba.   In her final months, as she bravely faced lung cancer, she launched a fundraising campaign dedicated to The Dream Factory. This became her last wish - a continuation of her life’s work of bringing joy and hope to children facing life-threatening illnesses.   As we remember and celebrate Michelle, we would like to share a message from her family, who are asking folks to consider supporting her lasting mission. Your donations will help keep her spirit alive, continuously bringing joy and hope to children in Manitoba and their families.   Michelle’s family has decided to keep her fundraiser open indefinitely to ensure her passion for helping others lives on, making dreams come true for many more children in the years to come.   ”Thank you all for your love, support, and generosity. Your contributions honour my mom's memory and continue her lifelong belief in the transformative power of kindness and dedicated service.” - Shaena, Michelle’s daughter.   We are sending not only our sincere condolences to Michelle’s family; but also, our deep gratitude to have the tremendous privilege of carrying her work and her vision forward to ensure that every child in our province battling a life-threatening illness has the opportunity to dream.   Michelle, your legacy will live on, and you are so dearly missed. https://lnkd.in/gWXxdTx5

Ethan’s dream came true! 🏀 17-year-old Dream Kid Ethan loves playing basketball at home and school. He started watching NBA, and of course his favourite team had to be the Toronto Raptors because he loves dinosaurs - and they’re the only Canadian team in the league. It only made sense that Ethan’s dream was to attend a Raptors game in Toronto and meet some of his favourite players! 🤩 Last month, Ethan headed off to TO to meet the Raptors and watch a game! Ethan arrived at the Scotiabank Arena and sat courtside for the Raptors’ warm-up, met some of the players, got autographs and photos, and watched the Raps compete! ⛹️♂️ ”I gotta say, that was the best day of my life,” Ethan told us. 💙 What an amazing day for Ethan - a huge thank you to Virgin Radio 103.1 and the Toronto Raptors for helping bring his dream to life! #Raptors #NBA #ChildrensCharity
