Last night, we awarded a $1 million grand prize to Rebecca Strong from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, the winner of Canada's Got Talent Season 3. This is the biggest cash prize in Canadian television history. Rogers is proud to support great Canadian talent – last year alone we contributed ˜$950 million to Canadian content and produced over 12,700 hours of unique Canadian programming.

We are proud to deliver corporate Canada’s largest scholarship program, investing millions to help remove barriers to education since the program began in 2017. Our program provides three tiers of funding to support students.     Applications are now open for eligible students across Canada to apply for one of hundreds of Ted Rogers Entrance Scholarships to help them reach their potential and pursue their post-secondary education. We’re delighted to welcome three distinguished Canadians to our Board of Directors. Diane Kazarian, FCPA, FCA, CPA(US), ICD.D, GCB.D, Chief Wayne Sparrow (yəχʷyaχʷələq) and John Tory were elected to the Board at the company’s Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders this week. Together, they come from varied backgrounds and bring diverse perspectives, including leadership in accounting, financial reporting and risk management, economic reconciliation, and operational and governance experience at the company. 

Last weekend, we teamed up with the PWHL to support women's hockey at the record-breaking 'Duel at the Top presented by Rogers' game in Montréal. It was an exciting event as we welcomed hundreds of our customers for a #BeyondTheSeat experience and invited young athletes from Minor Hockey Associations to the game, who got to meet #TeamRogers athlete Marie-Philip Poulin.

Today we hosted our Annual and Special Meeting at our incredible Sportsnet Studio in Toronto. During the meeting, our Board Chair Edward Rogers and our President and CEO Tony Staffieri highlighted how the company delivered industry-leading results, completed an industry-leading merger, and drove industry-leading innovation. We also announced our new 10-year agreement with Comcast that will change the way Canadians connect and experience entertainment.

We all have a role to play in protecting the environment, during #EarthWeek and every day. At Rogers, we’re committed to environmental stewardship and are taking action to decrease our carbon footprint. Electronic recycling is a key part of this commitment. Last year we diverted millions of electronic devices and other materials from landfills.
