When change invites new opportunities! 18 years ago, on 26 April 2006, we acquired the Dutch transport group Frans Maas. By joining forces, we went from being a Scandinavian player to a true Pan-European road transport and logistics provider. In addition to bringing in thousands of new and skilled employees, the acquisition enabled us to establish our own network in 11 European countries and contributed to a significant strengthening of our Solutions division. One of the employees who joined DSV through the acquisition in 2006 is Theo Hoogveld, who is a project specialist within Security & Facility Compliance in the Netherlands. He shares his insights from the time of the acquisition: “At first, DSV was a bit unknown to us in Frans Maas, and worries about whether we would keep our jobs and how our customers would experience this change occupied our thoughts. Even though the journey was not without challenges, it all turned out very well in the end, and we did not even notice that big of a change. Even synchronising our systems entailed little inconvenience, and it also became easier to attract new customers. To me, there is no doubt that the size of DSV created more opportunities for employees to grow into new positions.” Theo has now been part of DSV through many years of significant changes, and he has not regretted staying. “Personally, I have always had the opportunity to take on new challenges, both before and after the acquisition. Maintaining a varied job role is important to me, and that has been the case throughout. The high degree of responsibility that you are able to take on and the independence you are given are my favourite parts of working at DSV.” To learn more about our history and how DSV became the company that it is today, visit: https://bit.ly/3wgWr1z #Transport #Logistics #Anniversary

Last Sunday, over 50,000 runners from around the world filled the streets of London as they set out to complete the 2024 TCS London Marathon. Together with a team of volunteers, our local colleagues were responsible for ensuring that the participants’ belongings were safely transported from the start to the finish line. This entailed collecting 17 truckloads of personal items and driving them to the finish line, where the runners could pick them up after completing the 42.195 km long race past some of London's most iconic landmarks. Get a glimpse of how our colleagues and the event volunteers seamlessly returned the personal belongings to the runners at the finish line on The Mall in the City of Westminster ⬇ To learn more about our capabilities within exhibition and event logistics visit: https://bit.ly/3Jw61kn #Transport #Logistics #LondonMarathon #FairsAndEvents

  • It always means a lot to us when our customers acknowledge our teams’ efforts to provide them with the best possible transport and logistics solutions.   For this reason, we are very proud that Intel Corporation has recognised us with its Distinguished Supplier Award – an accolade given to suppliers whose performance consistently exceeds Intel’s expectations.   Niels Larsen, who is President of our US Air & Sea division and oversees our technology industry solutions, says:   “The semiconductor industry relies on a complex network of suppliers, and disruptions at any point in this network can have a knock-on effect and significantly impact the supply of semiconductors. This is why we have put in place a strong network of semiconductor experts, who can provide companies like Intel with the necessary accuracy, security and speed in their supply chains, so they can focus on their core business. We thank Intel for this significant recognition of our teams’ work – and we look forward to our continued collaboration!”   To learn more about DSV’s capabilities within the semiconductor industry, visit https://lnkd.in/dAMWM_nx.   #IntelEPIC #Partnership #Semiconductors
