Tech Manitoba was launched as an industry association in December 2004. PTEC/MITT grade 12s were privileged to host Billy Stewart, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist from Canada Life for an in-depth workshop on mastering the art of interviews (in-person and remote) for entry level positions in the tech sector. Billy’s session carefully navigated the students through the dos and don’ts of interview etiquette. From emphasizing the importance of thorough research and planning, to adeptly handling some of those more challenging questions. As the PTEC/ MITT Grade 12s gear up to conclude their academic journey and embark on summer internships, Billy’s guidance couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. Thanks for empowering these students with essential interview skills that will help them pave the way for their future success!

Thank you to Amanpreet Judge ✈️, Automation Engineer from Boeing Winnipeg for delivering the first ever “Automation and Robotics” presentation to our enthusiastic PTEC grade 9s! Automation can be as “simple” as rolling a window up and down, or as complex as a self-driving car. The highlight of the session was Aman’s engaging activity, where students got hands-on experience creating prompts, understanding inputs and outputs, and explaining the logic behind them. Thank you so much for sharing your unique job with the PTEC students. Your insights likely sparked curiosity and revealed to the students what the world of robotics and automation entail.
