Are you a practicing artist who has moved to Manitoba within the last five years? Do you work with creatives who are new to Manitoba? Creative Manitoba’s culture is one of community and belonging. Being committed to equity and co-creation, we are a catalyst for artists and arts organizations to gain meaningful connections. With these values in mind, we create adaptive and responsive programs that support the creative community. Creative Manitoba is conducting a survey aimed at new international and immigrant artists. It is a first step in helping us better understand the challenges faced by newcomers and provide meaningful support. This input will help us understand what programs and services are needed to help newcomers thrive in their artistic practices. This survey should take less than ten minutes to fill out. Collaboration, it's not just a word from a motivational poster! We can all go further when we work together to achieve goals, even artistic ones. When you feel stuck in a rut or have hit a plateau, that's a great time to reach out to another creative, even one from a discipline that differs from your own. They might have a novel approach that you haven't thought of before or can give you a new idea to build upon. Perhaps they've faced similar challenges and can offer a solution based on their experience. After that, who knows? It may be the beginning of a beautiful (and productive) friendship! If you're looking to meet some like-minded folks, try attending some of our upcoming workshops at Creative Manitoba: https://lnkd.in/eRG46Vjq
